For a quarter of a century, people who want to feel good about themselves have turned to Patti's. 

Patti's is open Monday through Saturday, from 9 AM until the last appointment. Walk-ins are welcome and gift certificates and holiday packages are available. 

Donna Jones

Donna is celebrating her 20th year as a hairdresser this year. The busy grandmother of two gorgeous girls has been part of the Patti's family for 18 years.

Donna is a Decatur native and has been involved in all things Decatur her entgire life. She is now involved in many Bridgeport activities since her granddaughters are in school there.

Donna will never tell you this, but she takes a personal interest in her clients and assists them in many ways away from the salon.

Donna enjoys haircuts, styles, perms, highlights, color and waxing.  Her hours are Tuesday through Friday from 8 AM until late (by appointment only) for the working clientele.  Her special late day is Thursday.

Chanda Crisp

You'll seldom see Chanda without a smile on her face. She has 11 years experience and has been delighting customers at Patti's for eight years.

What she loves about her job is doing" hair, hair and more hair." The busier the better!  She enjoys doing up-do's for special occasions, weddings, proms and all formal occasions.  She will also go on site for wedding parties if needed! 

Chanda specializes in hair colors, tri-coloring, foiling, manicures, fiberglass nails, pedicures, hair cutting, perming, and blow-drying.  "I'm here full time--come see me!"  Chanda's hours are 10 AM until "whenever"--early and late appointments are available.

Susan Holmes

Susan has been at Patti's for four years.  "They say I'm the quiet one in the back," says Susan. "I love to do color."

Susan specializes in both foiling highlights and lowlights. "I also enjoy women's, men;s and children's haircuts, special occasion up-do's, perms and waxing," she says. She enjoys going off-site for weddings but admits, "I love to keep the party here at Patti's."

Her hours are 10 AM until 6 PM, but she is flexible for the convenience of clients. She is out of the salon on Wednesdays, but is available Tuesdays and Thursday through Saturday.

Lori Hatchel

Lori is one of the newest members of Patti's staff, having joined the group in June this year. She is one year into her hairdressing career and enjoys doing women's cuts and styles,, colors, highlights, perms, wet sets and waxing. She also enjoys manicures and pedicures.

Her hours are Monday and Tuesday and Thursday through Saturday, 9 AM until her last appointment. Her hours are flexible.

Lisa Michael

Although Lisa is new to the Patti's staff, she has eight years experience.

"I enjoy highlights and haircuts," she says. "I also do colors, perms, shampoo sets, up-do's and waxing." She also enjoys men's and kids' cuts.

Her hours are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, from 8 AM to 6 PM, Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM, and Saturday, from 9 AM to 3 PM.

"I really enjoy what I do," she adds.

Patti Gage

It is said when you do what you love, you never work a day in your life. And that describes Patti to a T. She loves her chosen career and has been making people feel good about themselves for 31 years. "When a person enjoys their job, it definitely shows in the service they give to customers and the friendships that we have formed over the years," says Patti.

Patti has been community-minded all her life, always giving back to those she serves. A past Decatur Citizen of the Year, she is known for her generosity, and that commitment to community is shared by her staff. The salon hosts fund-raisers for worthwhile causes throughout the year and is always reaching out in the spirit of giving, helping those in need. Even Patti's love of fishing in Brazil has evolved into "Patti's mission work." She takes needed items to the villagers where she fishes and provides free haircuts.

Patti and C. L. Gage have been married 29 years. They have two children and five grandchildren--Nate, 14, Luke, 13, Carsyn 6, Marley 5, and Paxton 6 weeks old.

Patti also enjoys her trips to California every year for C. L.'s pigeon racing hobby.

Family is the center of Patti's life, and she works hard at making memories for each of her grandchildren, giving them all the attention they deserve. Patti comes from a large family and realizes the importance of time spent together.

Patti and C.L.'s cabin at the annual Wise County Old Settlers Reunion is a gathering place for hundreds of family and friends every year. They also enjoy hosting birthday parties, showers, and other special occasions at their home.

Patti's hours are Wednesday and Thursday from 9 AM until 5 PM.  Late appointments are available. Patti enjoys it all--cutting hair, styling, coloring, perming, and sunglitzing.  She loves applying the popular Backscratcher fiberglass nails, which are the natural looking nails.  Patti also enjoys giving pedicures and manicures for the entire family.  She does facial waxing including eyebrows and the upper lip area.  She adds, "Therapy and advice are free!"

Joyce Bennett

Joyce is the third "granny" on the Patti's staff. Her grandchildren are a light in her life and she loves spending time with them.

She has 24 years experience, 13 of those at Patti's. Joyce enjoys doing shampoo sets, haircuts, perms (short and long hair), blow-drying and wet sets. Her hours are Wednesday through Friday, and she willdo early and late appointments. For more about Joyce, click here.

Angela Vest

Angela has practically grown up at Patti's. A Decatur native, she has been at Patti's for 6 years. She enjoys doing perms, tri-coloring, foiling, haircuts for the entire family and up-do's.  She does waxing, manicures, pedicures, and fiberglass nails.  Angela is available to go off-site for weddings or any special occasion.

"Angela is my right hand," says Patti. "I couldn't get along without her. When I'm out of the shop, she takes good care of my clients because she does hair a lot like I do."

Angela's hours are Wednesday through Saturday from 9 AM until her last appointment. Late appointments are also available.

Chelsey Skiles

Chelsey has been a part of the Patti's staff for more than a year and has more than three years of experience.

"I really like it here," she says, adding, "I enjoy men's, women's, and children's cuts, colors, foil, highlights, perms, styles, and waxing."  She emphasizes that her hours are very flexible,Tuesday through Saturday, 10 AM to whenever.  "I also enjoy doing updo's and styles for weddings, homecoming, and prom."  Early and late appointments are welcome, along with walk-ins.

 

Barbara Fritsche
